Xiaomi Launches Poco M7 in India—A Rebranded Redmi 14C with 5G and HyperOS

Xiaomi has launched the Poco M7 in India, a rebranded Redmi 14C that will be sold exclusively on Flipkart. Unlike its Redmi counterpart, the Poco M7 offers better memory options while keeping the price competitive, making it the better deal overall.

Specs and Features

The Poco M7 runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, bringing 5G connectivity to an entry-level device. It features a 6.88-inch LCD with HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, certified by TUV Rheinland for low blue light and flicker-free performance.

Despite the large circular camera island on the back, the phone actually has only two cameras—a 50 MP main sensor and an unspecified secondary lens. On the front, there’s an 8 MP selfie camera.

For those who appreciate classic smartphone features, the Poco M7 retains a 3.5mm audio jackFM radio, and 150% volume boost for loud audio. It’s also dust- and splash-resistant and supports microSD expansion up to 1TB.

On the software side, the Poco M7 ships with HyperOS on top of Android 14, and Xiaomi promises two years of OS updates and four years of security patches. Powering everything is a 5,160 mAh battery with 18W charging.

Pricing and Availability

The Poco M7 will be available only on Flipkart, while the Redmi 14C will be sold on Amazon India at the same price but with less favorable memory options. This makes the Poco M7 the better choice.

The phone comes in Black, Green, and Blue, with two variants:

  • 6GB + 128GB – INR 9,999
  • 8GB + 128GB – INR 10,999

The Poco M7 supports 5G support, a high refresh rate display, expandable storage, and long-term software.
